Please watch our movie tutorial on how to login to cPanel.

Please note that you only get one login per cPanel. If you create addon, parked and subdomains, then those domains do not have a separate cPanel nor a separate login. Hint: To login to the cPanel for your addon domain, just login to your main cPanel. It is all managed under one control panel.

If you recently purchased a new account with HostGator, you should type the following information into the address bar of your browser:

I just created an account with the business package. How long after I create my account will it take for me to get my ip address?

If you signed up with credit card, then you already paid and should have a welcome email within an hour.

If you signed up with the PayPal option, then you need to pay your invoice in our billing system. After you pay, the welcome email will arrive shortly.

If you have paid and waited more than an hour, please contact us to see what happened. (Hint: Sometimes our welcome email will deliver to your junk or spam folder.)

I'm trying to log in to my Cpanel and there's being more than 48 hours since I sign up with HostGator but still i can't acces. After I type my name and password Cpanel displays:
Login Attempt Failed!
Ii already try the diferent URL that you recommend, what else can i do?

A common reason users cannot log-in is because you have yet to pay the first invoice.

Another reason can be that you selected an invalid username or password during sign-up.

Whatever the reason, we can help you. Call us or join our live chat.

How can I access my cpanel through my works firewall

Use these URLs to access your tools from behind almost any firewall (replace with your actual domain name):

These all permit access via port 80, which is allowed from any location where you can view a website.

I have just transferred 5 domain names over to hostgator and used the same Username and Password. I see from each email received that I am on the same cpanel "" and so when I log in I can only see one domain name. They are all showing ok on billing as paid. So it looks like I needed to set them up with different Usernames and Passwords - how can I sort it out now please!? Thanks in advance. Regards John Campbell

Yes, each separate hosting account needs to have a unique username when you purchase them at the same time.

Also, if you purchase a Baby or Business plan, then you only need one hosting plan to host all of your domains.

well i cannot even change any info on my main domain.

i want to change the nameservers to the ones provided in my email, but this cpanel is very confusing i do not even know how to point it to my uploaded forums, i have never used such a confusing base.

You cannot update your nameservers with your hosting company; you must do that with your registrar.

I show you purchased your domain name from, so you must contact them to make this update.

I have requested for free a 9 domines transfer, the problem is every domain has the same IP addres, how can i enter to each domain cpanel without changing DNS?

All 9 accounts have the same cPanel URL. Each cPanel has a unique username and password combination.

So, just use the same ip/cpanel for each domain, and enter the username for the one you want to access.

I am trying to add new site but I could not go into my panel. you sent me new password but it's not work. I need your assistance.
thanks, alice

I need to log into my cpanel as I have mistakenly fallen behind on my payments, however the password or user name seems to be incorrect. How do I reset my password and username?

You will not be able to login to cPanel while your payments are behind.

You need to login to and pay first.

I registered a domain name but in my email i wasnt given a username which i can log in to my cpanel. What should i do?

You did register the domain name, but you did NOT buy a hosting plan.

You must buy a hosting plan for that domain name before you will have access to cPanel.
